Coupon Codes are helpful for providing unique or preferred discounts to clients. These coupon codes in Sonido can be applied within the Online Booking Portal for booking discounts. However, you must first take the appropriate action to make coupon codes available for bookings, as they will not display for all booking packages.
APPLY COUPON CODES TO ONLINE BOOKING PACKAGES
Within the Sonido Online Booking Portal, you may not want coupon codes to be applied to every booking package. For example, you may only want coupon codes to be available for higher dollar packages, where other packages (e.g. a 1-hour session) are restricted and don't allow clients to add a coupon code.
With this in mind, you have the ability to determine which packages within the Online Booking Portal allow coupon codes.
To turn on a coupon code for an Online Booking package, first go to Settings -> Integrations within your Sonido account. Within the Sonido Online Booking section, scroll down until you find a package for which you'd like to enable coupon codes. Select the edit button for that package, then scroll down to the field that says, "Eligible for Coupon Codes" and change the toggle to "Yes". By default, this setting is turned off for all packages.
You will need to complete this step for each package where you'd like coupon codes enabled. Once this setting is enabled, the coupon code field will then be displayed in the checkout process within Online Bookings for the designated packages. If coupon codes are not enabled for a package, the coupon code entry field will be hidden in the checkout process.
APPLYING A COUPON CODE TO AN ONLINE BOOKING PACKAGE
Your clients will find it very intuitive to apply a coupon code to the Online Booking Portal. After filling out appropriate details for booking a session, the coupon code will appear above the billing details prior to the checkout. Your client will simply populate the coupon code they've been given and select the "Apply" button. A green notification will indicate that the discount has been applied successfully, and the discount will be reflected in the final price for checkout.
Once the coupon code has been applied and your client has checked out successfully, the coupon code will also be reflected within the Invoice that is automatically generated, and a record of the redemption of this coupon code will show in the Coupon Code management page.
COUPON CODE ERRORS
In some cases, a coupon code may display an error message. The following are some of the more common errors that a user or client may see when applying a coupon code:
- Coupon Exceeds Maximum Redemption Limit - this means that your coupon code had a redemption limit set, and the total number of redemptions has already been met.
- Coupon Not Found - this means that the coupon code that the client attempting to populate does not exist within the Sonido Coupon Codes list. They may have a typo in the code, the coupon is expired (inactive) or the coupon never existed.
- This Coupon Code Allows a Single Redemption Per Customer - this means that the single redemption per customer restriction is turned on for the coupon code, and a customer who already used this coupon code is attempting to use it again.
