While working with a client on a project, there may be times when your client needs to share files with you relevant to the project. Common files that studios require for projects include audio stems, session files, instrumental or minus tracks, scratch tracks, and more. Sonido now includes the Client File Uploads feature that allows your clients the ability to share files directly to your studio project within Sonido Software.
Within a Sonido Project, The Project Files section will now include an option to "+ Add Client Uploads Folder".
This folder is considered a shared folder where both you and your clients can upload relevant files for a Project with your studio. The most common uploads may be scratch tracks, audio stems, or other relevant files in preparing for a project, although other file types are also supported.
Once a Client Uploads folder has been added for the project, it will be displayed in the Project Files view. The sharing icon provides options to Send, Copy Link, or Download the contents of the folder.
The "Send" option will send an invitation to specified recipients by email, providing access to upload files to your Sonido Project within the Client Uploads folder.
The "Copy Link" option will copy the hyperlink to the shared folder for you to share to your clients yourself via email, text message, or other means of communications. The shared link will provide access to upload files to your Sonido Project within the Client Uploads folder.
The "Download" option allows you to download all contents of the Client Uploads folder locally to your computer or device.
When your client receives the invitation, clicking the link will open the Client File Uploads view where they can either drag-and-drop files right into the Client Uploads folder, or they can browse for files on their device locally. Your client also has the option to create folders within the Client Uploads folder to organize files as needed.
Once uploaded, these files are immediately accessible to your studio within the Client Uploads shared folder.
Within your Sonido account, you can upload files into the Client Uploads folder, download the files, or even delete the folder. By deleting the folder, your client will no longer have access to upload files and all files will be deleted from your Sonido Project.
You can create a new Client Uploads folder at any time to receive files from your client again.
