The SensePass integration offers Venmo as a payment method. Venmo is owned by PayPal, therefore you must have a PayPal business account to accept client payments through PayPal.

CONNECT VENMO WITH SONIDO (SensePass Integration)
To get started with the Venmo integration setup, log in to the PayPal Business account Dashboard with your PayPal account credentials. The following steps will walk you through how to collect the necessary integration keys for connecting PayPal and Sonido.
1. Click on the “Developer” link in the top-right menu
2. Click on the “Account” name in the top-right view and choose ➔ “My Account”
3. Make sure you select “Live” so that we are collecting the appropriate information for your live account (as opposed to a testing sandbox account)
4. Click on “API Credentials”:
5a. If you have already created a Rest API app for the PayPal integration, you will use the same keys that you previously created for Venmo - skip to step #8 below to continue.
5b. If you have not already created a Rest API app for the PayPal integration, select the "Create App" button to create a new connection point:
6. Be sure that the toggle at the top-right of the page is still showing "Live" (sometimes the PayPal system reverts it back to "Sandbox", which will not allow you to take live payments).
Populate the App Name as "SensePass - Sonido Integration", then select "Create App". It may take a moment to process before moving to the next screen.
Once the App is created, you will see the "LIVE API CREDENTIALS", which we'll use for the next step.
7. Now that you have the API credentials, we can connect your Venmo account to Sonido Software (via the SensePass integration). Within this view, you will see a field for "Client ID" and "Secret" (the Secret key is hidden, and you'll have to select "show" to view it. You are going to copy these keys to populate within Sonido settings.
First, copy the "Client ID" alphanumeric string.
8. Log in to your Sonido account, then go to Settings ➔ Integrations. Within the SensePass Integration section, open the "Payment Methods" tab and scroll down until you see the Venmo option. Select the "+" icon on the right side of this payment method. In the "Add Payment Details" dialog, you will populate the "Client ID" that you copied from PayPal into the "New Client ID" field.
9. Next, go back to PayPal and copy the "Secret" key from the settings. You will then return to Sonido Software and paste the "Secret" key into the "New Client Secret" field.
After populating these fields, select the "Save" button. This will reset your view in the Payment Methods settings, and you should now see the Venmo integration with the active toggle enabled.
From this point forward, your Sonido invoices will show Venmo as a valid payment method. It's all set up and ready for use by your clients!
